Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service had a busy day on Monday, August 3, 2020, responding to dozens of medical calls, vehicle collisions, outside and structure fires as well as technical rescues.
Agnes Street House Fire
Just before 4:00 pm firefighters responded to a blaze in a two-storey home in the 300 block of Agnes Street.
Smoke was billowing from the structure as crews arrived. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 4:28 pm.
No one was inside at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Ingersoll Street Grease Fire
In the early evening firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Ingersoll Street, just south of Sargent Avenue.
Smoke was coming from the home as firefighters pulled up. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was quickly doused.

No injuries were reported.
A preliminary investigation has determined it was a grease fire caused by unattended cooking.
Ronald Street Technical Rescue
Minutes before 8:00 pm the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service’s Technical Rescue Task Force was deployed after call came in reporting that a person had fallen into an air ventilation system.
Crews responded to the building in the 200 block of Ronald Street and immediately began rescue operations.
A tripod-based rope rescue was used to pull the victim to safety. The person was transported hospital by paramedics. Their condition is unknown.
