Mom facing charges in off-road vehicle collision

A 29-year-old female is facing charges after her 13-year-old daughter and six of the daughters friends were involved in a collision in the off-road vehicle they were riding.

Pembina Valley RCMP says that the seven girls, all aged 13 and under, were riding on a side-by-side ORV when they lost control on gravel and rolled into a ditch. All seven riders were thrown from the vehicle.

Investigators say that none of the youths were wearing helmets or using safety equipment at the time of the collision. Two 13-year-old females were were injured in the crash, one of them seriously.

The 29-year-old female was charged in relation to the incident with: As the Owner, Permit an Unsupervised Person Under 14 years of age to Operate an ORV; As the Owner of an Unregistered ORV Permit It to Be Operated; Have More Passengers Than Allowed on ORV.
