RCMP concerned for missing man’s safety

LOCATED – – RCMP reported that on November 9, 2020, Wesley Wood was found deceased in a wooded area of Garden Hill First Nation. Police do not believe the death is suspicious in nature. RCMP continue to investigate.


On November 3, 2020, at approximately 1:30 pm, Island Lake RCMP received a report of a missing man from Garden Hill First Nation, Manitoba. Wesley Wood, 30, was last seen on October 31, 2020, between 7:00-8:00 am walking towards the school units on a trail. He was wearing a black toque, two black sweaters, and baggy pants.

Wood is not known to be out of touch with friends and family. At the time Wood was last seen, there was a snowstorm in Garden Hill. Police are concerned for Wood’s safety as he was not dressed for the elements.
