RCMP say that a 30-year-old male who went missing early Wednesday morning was found dead today, January 6, 2022.
Police say that the male was last seen around 2:00 am on January 5 leaving a home in Ochre River and was thought to be returning to McCreary. The mans vehicle was located around 3:00pm on Provincial Road 582 just west of Makinak, Manitoba.
Police and volunteers searched the area for several hours but the search was called off due to the extreme cold.
Searchers returned to the area today and located the males body about one kilometre away from where his vehicle was found.
RCMP continue to investigate.
