RCMP say that the body of a missing 23-year-old male from Garden Hill First Nation has been recovered. Garden Hill is 475 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Police say the man went missing on August 7, 2019 from the community. First Nation Safety Officers were in the process of going door to door in Garden Hill when searchers located the missing male on August 10, 2019, in the water near Monias Point.
RCMP and the Chief Medical Examiner’s office are conducting an investigation into the cause of death.
