Mint Unveils HERO Coins –
The Royal Canadian Mint unveiled a series of silver coins on Tuesday in Winnipeg that honours Canadian firefighters, paramedics. police officers and military personnel.
Each coin is 99.999% silver and will sell for just under $70
The firefighter coin is available now and the mint announced that it will be donating $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for Ft. McMurray and $5 from the sale of each coin will also go to that devastated Alberta city.
The paramedic coin will be released June 7, the police coin August 7and the military coin September 6.
