Province to increase minimum wage October 1st

On Thursday March 28, 2019, Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Blaine Pedersen announced that the minimum wage in Manitoba will increase by 30 cents per hour.

This increase will bring the minimum wage in the province to $11.65 per hour. That equates to approximately a 2.5% increase.

 “Based on Manitoba’s Consumer Price Index for 2018, the minimum wage increase will help our economy continue to attract new investment and participation in the workforce,”  said Pedersen

The increase puts Manitoba workers in the middle of the pack. Minimum wages across Canada are as follows:
