Firefighters were called to a two-and-a-half storey house just before noon on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

As crews arrived to the Victor Street fire smoke could be seen coming from the structure. An offensive attack was launched but due to conditions becoming unsafe crews transitioned to a defensive attack until it was conditions improved. Firefighters were eventually able to get back inside and bring the fire under control by 12:30 pm.

No injuries were reported and the people inside the home were able to get out before emergency crews arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
