Winnipeg Police Service members from the Drug Enforcement Unit found a meth lab on July 30, 2020, after implementing an investigation earlier in the month.
The clandestine drug lab was located in a single family home in the Kildare-Redonda neighbourhood. Officers from a number of specialized units including tactical support and the Clandestine Lab Team executed a search warrant on the home.
According to police, the lab was set up using what is described as the ‘One Pot’ method for producing methamphetamine. This method of production is considered extremely dangerous and can lead to explosions due to the chemical reaction caused.
Darrell Allen Simard, 36 and Lisa Rose Gladue, 34, both from Winnipeg were arrested and charged for their alleged involvement with Production of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine.
Both of the accused were detained in custody.
