Winnipeg police have seized more than $26,000 worth of drugs and $50,000 in cash as part of a drug trafficking investigation a residence in the 500 block of Portage Avenue on Friday, January 15, 2021.

Police say that two people were arrested near Logan Avenue Avenue and Owena Street as part of the investigation.

Along with the cash 216 grams of Methamphetamine and 28 grams of Fentanyl were seized along with a stolen bike and a laptop.

Aaron Robert Wilson, 37 and 23-year-old Maria Dawn Wolowich, both from Winnipeg were charges for their alleged involvement with drug and property-related offences.

Both accused were detained in custody.
