Traffic stop leads to police finding $3,000 in Meth

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old male with Trafficking and property crimes after they spotted him ” committing an infraction of the Highway Traffic Act” inside a cab.

Police stopped the cab around 1:00 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018, near Andrews Street and Aberdeen Avenue and found out that the passenger of the taxi had a warrant out for his arrest. A search of the cab uncovered 1.5 ounces of Methamphetamine worth about $3,000 on the street. They also found about $400 in cash on the suspect.

Donovan Michael Wieler was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement and detained in custody.
