As News4 told you on January 19, 2017, around 11:50 pm Winnipeg Police were checking up on a resident in the 600 block of Sherbrook Street.
When police entered the home they found a dead adult male. He was identified as Trenton Jeffery Balonyk, age 38.
The investigation into Balonyk’s death revealed that the victim had been seriously assaulted and died as a result of the assault.
Three suspects were identified by police.
Brendon Bo Severight, 24 was arrested January 28, 2017. He has been charged with first degree murder as well as several weapons related charges for his alleged involvement.
Investigators are still looking for two other suspects and have issued arrest warrants for first degree murder for Luke Blair Moar and Ryan Ralph Flett.
