Winnipeg Police have two men in custody in connection to the October 7, 2019, killing of 19-year-old Darius Dary Darrien McKay.
McKay was found dead on the front yard of a Prichard Avenue residence around 9:25 am.
Homicide detectives identified the two suspects who they say were involved in a verbal altercation with McKay which escalated to him being shot.
On Friday, November 15, 2019, officers located 37-year-old Derek Donald Franklin at a home on Boyd Avenue and placed him under arrest. He has been charged with Manslaughter for his alleged involvement.
ON Sunday, November 17, 2019, police found the second suspect, Christopher Dakota Murdock at a second residence on Boyd Avenue. The 26-year-old has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder and Possession of Firearm, Restricted/prohibited Weapon or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
Both accused were detained in custody.
