Manitoba’s Health Minister ordered a review of the facility which determined more could have been done to prepare for and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a media release the province says that that facility has provided detailed status updates that outline their plans and efforts to address concerns and that the plans meet provincial standards.

The facility will be monitored and under the plans are permitted to admit one new resident per day between Monday to Friday until the beginning of December.

Maples operating license remains under review and the facility is subject to scheduled and unscheduled standards reviews to ensure residents are receiving quality care.
