Manitoba’s state of emergency extended as COVID-19 cases climb

Manitoba has once again extended the state of emergency as it continues to battle the spread of COVID-19.

“With variants and case numbers on the rise, our government recognizes that additional measures are needed to keep Manitobans safe and extending the state of emergency is one of the tools we have to aid in the fight against COVID-19,” said Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler, minister responsible for the Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization.

The state of emergency was first declared on March 20, 2020.

The state of emergency has been extended as of 4:00 pm April 30, 2021, for a period of thirty days.
