Manitoba to Host “Rally for Canada”

Premier Wab Kinew has announced the Manitoba government will host a “Rally for Canada” on Sunday, April 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Legislative Building. The event aims to celebrate provincial and national pride, extending an open invitation to all Manitobans.

“At a time when Manitobans and Canadians are united, we want to invite every Manitoban to join us at the people’s building to celebrate our beautiful province and our great nation,” Premier Kinew said.

The rally is positioned as a family-friendly event designed to foster a sense of community and patriotism. Premier Kinew encouraged people to “Bring your kids, your family and your friends to show their Manitoban and Canadian pride and send a message – we will never be the 51st state.”

Attendees can expect a variety of activities, including entertainment from beloved children’s performer Fred Penner, ensuring engagement for all ages. Food trucks will also be on site during the event.

The event is free and open to the public.
