Manitoba reduces age requirement for second booster shot

Manitoba has made the second COVID-19 booster shots available to those 50 and over. It is also available to First Nations, Inuit and Métis people aged 30 or older, individuals aged 18 to 49 years who are moderately to severely immunocompromised and residents of any age living in personal care homes and elderly persons housing congregate living sites.

According to the province the second booster can be given four months after the first booster has been received.

Nearly 590,000 people have received their first booster and close to 10,000 their second to date.
