Manitoba RCMP Announce Additional Fraud Charges Against Kurt Wittin

The Manitoba RCMP Cyber & Financial Crime Unit (CFCU) has brought forward new fraud charges against 50-year-old Kurt Wittin, following an ongoing investigation that began in 2023. On March 3, 2025, Wittin was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with an additional eleven counts of fraud over $5,000, bringing the total number of identified victims to 20.

According to the RCMP, Wittin has been accused of defrauding customers through his company, Seventeen Pools Inc., by accepting payments for products that were never delivered. Victims of these alleged crimes span Canada and the United States. With the latest charges, authorities have confirmed that the combined financial losses now exceed $700,000 CAD.

Wittin was initially arrested on November 5, 2024, after an investigation conducted by the Headingley RCMP detachment and the CFCU. At that time, he faced nine charges of fraud greater than $5,000 for his alleged involvement and was released on conditions. Following public appeals for information, numerous additional victims have since come forward, further expanding the scope of the case.

The RCMP encourages potential victims to contact their local detachment to file a report.
