Effective October 1, 2020, the minimum wage in Manitoba will increase 25 cents per hour to $11.90.
The increase is based on Manitoba’s 2019 inflation rate of 2.2 per cent.
Despite the increase Manitoba’s minimum wage is still amongst the lowest in Canada. Only Saskatchewan ($11.32) and New Brunswick ($11.70) have lower minimum wage rates.
Nunavut has the highest minimum wage in the country at $16.00 per hour as of April 2020.
