Manitoba has launched a new online tool to match volunteers with those needing help.
Helpnextdoormb.ca is a Manitoba made tool that will help people in need of goods and services like getting groceries, medication, snow-clearing of various other necessities. The website has been designed for those at greatest risk of contracting COVID-19 such as the elderly, disabled or immune compromised.
“This new online tool captures the spirit of our province, where Manitobans in communities across our province can always be counted on to step up to assist others who need help, especially in times of need,” said Premier Brian Pallister. “The innovative tool, created by Manitobans for Manitobans, puts people all over the province who need assistance easily in contact with those nearby – while adhering to social distancing protocols – who want to help them.”
