Manitoba First Nations Police Service officer facing charges

A Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) officer is facing charges after an 11 moth investigation into allegations that the officer uttered threats while on duty.

The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) investigated incident that also involved criminal harassment between October 1, 2019 and November 02, 2022.

The investigation determined that there was enough evidence to lay Criminal Code charges against the officer.

MFNPS officer Kelvin (Dale) McKay has been charged for his alleged involvement with Uttering Threats and two counts of Criminal Harassment.
