On Monday, June 15, 2020, the provincial government in Manitoba extended the state of emergency during COVID-19.
The state of emergency was first declared on March 20, 2020 to enable the province to respond quickly to the pandemic. Under legislation the state of emergency has to be renewed every 30 days for it to continue to be in place.
This is the third renewal for the declaration. On April 20 and again on May 17 the declaration was extended.
