Manitoba anglers can now get their required 2021-22 licenses online through the provincial e-licensing portal said Agriculture and Resource Development Minister Blaine Pedersen in an announcement on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
“Our online e-licensing portal has made it easier than ever for Manitobans to purchase their angling licenses from their own homes,” said Pedersen.
In Manitoba, all anglers are required to get an angling license to fish in the province unless they are exempt. Anglers can purchase licenses 24 hours a day, seven days a week and print them at home.
In addition to angler licenses there are a number of other permits that can be purchase through the e-licensing portal that include fisheries, forestry and wildlife applications including:
- fisheries;
- competitive fishing events;
- scientific collection;
- commercial live bait dealer;
- commercial bait fish/leech;
- live fish handling;
- fish farming;
- forestry;
- wood-processing facility;
- provincial forest general permit;
- wildlife;
- hunter declaration;
- fur dealer;
- tanner;
- taxidermist;
- wild animal part dealer;
- serve meat of meat animals;
- game bird farm;
- wildlife farms;
- wild capture (falconry);
- disable hunter crossbow;
- disabled hunter (discharge and non-discharge); and
- wildlife management area use.
