According to the latest Consumer Price Index report from Statistics Canada, Manitoba recorded the lowest inflation rate in the country for 2024, at just 1.1 per cent.
“Our government is focused on making life more affordable for Manitobans,” said Finance Minister Adrien Sala. “Manitoba had the lowest inflation rate in 2024 across Canada.”
The decrease in inflation was notably influenced by lower gasoline prices, attributed to the provincial fuel tax holiday.
The national average annual inflation rate for 2024 was recorded at 2.4 per cent.
