Winnipeg Police Service investigators have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to a July 2022, incident where a 76-year-old female was pushed into traffic.
Police say that on July 20, 2022, the accused pushed the woman onto the street into oncoming traffic on Sargent Avenue for no apparent reason. The victim suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for some time.
Investigators were eventually able to identify a suspect and on December 15, 2022, found him at a Central Park area apartment.
Roy Patrick Charlton of Winnipeg was charged for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault and detained in custody.
