RCMP in Okotoks, Alberta, are searching for a 38-year-old Calgary man in connection to a double stabbing in an area campground. Okotoks is about 48 kilometres south of Calgary.
Police say that they were called to the campground around 6:15 am Sunday, March 20, 2022 and discovered a male and a female who had been stabbed multiple times. Both victims were taken to hospital and are now in stable condition.
RCMP say Ryan Cameron Bain fled the scene. He is currently wanted for his alleged involvement on two counts of attempted murder as well as other offences.
Bain is described as light skinned, standing 6’2″ tall and weighing 194 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
RCMP believe it is possible he is en route to Winnipeg.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Okotoks RCMP at (403) 938-4202 or your local police. Bain must not be approached warn investigators.
