Winnipeg Police are looking for the male suspect in connection to the killing of 34-year-old Julie Racette on April 11, 2020.
Police say that they began investigating he victim’s death after she had been taken to hospital earlier in the day from a home in the 500 block of Ottawa Avenue.
Police say that over the past week and following an autopsy investigators determined that Racette’s death was a homicide that was domestic in nature.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 42-year-old Wayne Leslie Melnchuk for Manslaughter.
Police say that Melnchuk is currently listed as a missing person. He is Caucasian, 5’7″ tall with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Police say that is you see Melnychuk do not approach him. If you know where he is call 911.
