A vicious attack in the Exchange District of Winnipeg on Tuesday night, October 16, 2018, sent one man to the hospital in critical condition.
The 42-year-old male was walking near William Avenue and King Street when an unknown male attacked him from behind.
According to the victim, the attacker did not say a word to him.
After the attack police say the victim tried to get passing vehicles to stop and help but was unsuccessful until a medical supervisor was successfully flagged down.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
Police officers, including members of the K-9 Unit and AIR-1, searched the area but could not locate the attacker.
