Brandon Police say suspect has been arrested
In a bizarre case Brandon Police are reporting that on Thursday night around 11:30 pm a man an a woman were in a business in the 700 block of 10th Street when they were approached by two men. One of the men pulled out a machete and threatened the pair.
The couple being threatened recognized the male who pulled the machete as they fled the area. Soon after the suspect began sending threatening text messages to their phones.
Police went to the suspects house around 4:00 am and arrested the 22 year old from Brandon. He has been charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Police released the man who will now come before a judge in July.
