Brandon Police say they have charged a 34-year-old man with arson after they were called to a fire in the 300
When officers arrived at the fire just after 2:30 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 smoke and flames were shooting out the side of the home.
As officers were ensuring the residents in the building were safe they noticed one man intently staring at the fire. Police approached the man and learned he lived in the suite that was on fire. During their conversation with the man, he admitted to officers that he set the blaze.
The man was arrested and detained in custody.
Damage estimates were not available. The investigation is ongoing.
