Man suspected of assaulting two people wanted by police

Winnipeg Police Service investigators are looking for help in identifying a male suspect that is wanted for allegedly assaulting two people on March 30, 2023, in the Pacific Avenue and Princess Street area.

Police say a 56-year-old man suffered injuries while he was walking on Pacific Avenue around 8:00 am. The suspect approached him and without provocation hit the victim in the upper body causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived.

Police believe that after the suspect assaulted the first victim he assaulted a second victim in the 200 block of Princess Street. Police have yet to identify the second victim as they have not reported the assault at this time. The second victim fell during the assault but was able to get back on his feet and flee the area. The suspect once again fled before police arrived.
