Winnipeg Police say that meth probably played a role in the theft of an axe from a Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) vehicle late Sunday night, May 5, 2019.

Police officers along with members from the K-9 unit found the suspect and chased him from Aikins and Burrows to Charles Street and Magnus Avenue where he was taken into custody.
Dwayne Anthony Rawluk, 33 from Lake St. Martin is facing two counts of Assault with a weapon and Mischief under $5,000 for his alleged involvement.
He was detained in custody.
