Just before 5:00 am on Thursday, October 12, 2017, Winnipeg Police were told about a man lying in the road near Simcoe Street and Sargent Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene they found a 25-year-old male suffering from upper body injuries. The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition.

Investigators say the man had been shot as well as stabbed in the upper body.
The Major Crimes Unit is investigating and is asking anyone with information that can help investigators to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
