Winnipeg Police say that a man found on Portage Avenue early Sunday morning, June 30, 2019, suffering from stab wounds to his upper body had actually been attacked at an Edmonton Street restaurant/bar.
Police say the victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
Investigators believe that before the victim was attacked a second male had also been injured at the restaurant trying to break up an earlier altercation. The second victim suffered minor cuts and was also treated in hospital.
