Man Stabbed During Dispute Over Living Arrangements

Winnipeg Police responded to a stabbing incident on January 10th at a residence on the 1000 block of Corydon Avenue. Officers found a 37-year-old man with serious upper-body injuries and provided immediate medical assistance. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but later stabilized.

Police arrested a 29-year-old male suspect, Richard Luke Archie, inside the residence without incident.

The investigation revealed that the stabbing stemmed from a verbal altercation between the victim and Archie, who were acquaintances, over living arrangements. The argument escalated when Archie allegedly armed himself with a knife and stabbed the victim.

Archie has been charged with Possession of a Weapon and Aggravated Assault. He remains in police custody.
