A 20-year-old male is recovering in hospital after being shot inside a restaurant at River Avenue and Osborne Street.

Police responded to the shooting call minutes after 2:00 am Sunday, December 22, 2019.

When officers arrived on scene they located the injured male victim in unstable condition. He was taken to hospital by paramedics where he is now listed as stable.

Police say that an employee of the restaurant was also struck during the shooting but was not injured.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information that can help to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
