Man shot in the face by a youth five times, say RCMP

RCMP in he Pas have arrested and charged three teens after an adult was shot in the face five times with a pellet gun.

Just before 8:30 pm on Tuesday August 25, 2020, police say that victim was walking on Fischer Avenue when three male teens approached him asking for a cigarette. The victim refused at which point a 13-year-old male she the man in the face about five time, say RCMP.

The suspects took off but the victim chased them down and caught up to them behind the Legion.

Police arrived moments later and place the 13-year-old as well as two 16-year-old males into custody. A search of the suspects uncovers three pellet handguns and a number of CO2 cartridges.

Police say the suspects were all under the influence of alcohol.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

The youngest of the trio has been charged for his alleged involvement with Assault with Weapon, Careless use of firearm, Pointing a firearm, Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose and Failing to comply with a release order.

The 16-year-olds are facing charges for their alleged involvement of Assault with Weapon, Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and Carrying concealed weapon.

All three were detained in custody.

Police continue to investigate.
