Just hours after a stabbing incident on Flora Avenue on Thursday night, Winnipeg Police were called back to the area around 3:00 am Friday, July 15, 2022, for what they thought was another stabbing.
When officers arrived they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim to help stabilize him. The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.
Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit say they believe the 26-year-old victim was shot in the 400 block of Flora Street and made his way to Salter Street to get help.
No arrests have been made.
