Winnipeg Police are investigating a shooting after a 35-year-old male was shot in the face on Monday, May 27, 2019.

Police say the man was walking in the area of Consol Avenue and Louelda Street when he was approached from behind by a blue 4-door vehicle.

A shot was fired from the vehicle hitting the man in the face.

The victim was treated in hospital and released

Investigators say that they believe the weapon used was some sort of pellet gun.
