A 32 year old man is recovering in stable condition after police found him Monday January9, 2017 around 2:15 pm.
It happened in the 600 block of Herbert Avenue. Police had received reports of shots fired and located a victim who had injuries consistent with being shot.
The male was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
Police had the East Elmwood area closed off for nearly eight hours as they investigated the shooting.
No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate.
