Winnipeg Police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Blake Street minutes after 11:00 pm on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
General patrol officers located a male victim who had been shot in the lower body and immediately rendered first aid and applied a tourniquet to help stop the bleeding.
Tactical Support Team members along with a K-9 and handler and several other officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them.
The victim was transported to hospital and is now listed in stable condition.
Police say the shooter is still at large but that they don’t believe there is a threat to the public.
