A shots fired report had police responding in force to the 500 block of Magnus Avenue late Monday afternoon, September 2, 2019.
Four people were taken into custody after officers learned what happened.
According to police a 21-year-old male, Damon Charles Shabaquay had gone to a home on Magnus Avenue and sprayed a 21-year-old male, Brandon Dean Woodhouse with bear spray. The victim retaliated after going into the house and returning with a can of bear spry of his own and sprayed Sabaquay. The pair continued their battle by spraying blasts at each other.
Shabaquay then pulled out a CO2 firearm and shot multiple rounds at Woodhouse hitting him in the lower body. The victim declined medical attention.
Police say another male then showed up at the home to retrieve an item that belonged to Shabaquay and shot at Woodhouse shattering a nearby window on a vehicle. This male has yet to be arrested.
Officers found Shabaquary behind a nearby home and took him into custody. Woodhouse was located at the home where the incident began. He was also arrested.
Two other people, a 45-year-old male and a 16-year-old female were also arrested after police found then inside a garage at the location of the incident. Officers also spotted and seized a sawed-off bolt action rifle nearby.
All four people are facing a number of weapon related and other charges for their alleged involvement.
They were all detained in custody.
