Man Robbed After Exiting Bus in Peguis Area

A man in his 20s was assaulted and robbed after exiting a transit bus in the Peguis area late Tuesday night, according to the Winnipeg Police Service.

Officers from the East District, with support from the AIR1 helicopter and the K9 Unit, responded to the reported robbery at approximately 11:00 p.m. on March 11, 2025.  

Police reports indicate that the victim had just disembarked from the bus when he was confronted by two unknown male suspects, who had also exited the vehicle. The suspects assaulted the man and stole his belongings before fleeing the scene.  

The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition and treated for injuries sustained during the attack.

The Winnipeg Police Service has released the following descriptions of the suspects:

  • Suspect #1: A male in his teens, approximately 5’4” in height, wearing a puffer-style jacket.  
  • Suspect #2: A male in his teens, wearing a mask and a black jacket.  

The Major Crimes Unit is currently leading the ongoing investigation.
