MAN RESCUED BY FIREFIGHTERS

A man was pulled from a rooming house fire on Manitoba Ave around 4am Wednesday morning.

Fire crews arrived on the scene of a house full of smoke. In searching the residence they located a man who could not get out on his own. Firefighters carried the man from the second floor to a waiting ambulance. The man was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation and is listed in stable condition.

Investigators are still searching for a cause of the fire but it is believed that it started in one of the suites on the second floor.
