Police say victim could have been killed
A man in his 40s is lucky to be alive after he was repeatedly stabbed after he investigated a break-in to his garage in the 100 block of Belmont Avenue.
It happened on August 16, 2017, around 2:30 in the morning. The victim had gone to the area of the garage at the rear of his property when he was confronted by two male suspects and assaulted. Both the suspects had fled before police arrived.
The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but he has been upgraded to stable.
