Winnipeg Police continue to investigate after a serious assault on Main Street claimed the life of the 52-year-old victim.
On November 27, 2021, officers were called to the area of Main Street and Logan Avenue just before noon. The located the victim and began emergency medical care. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
On December 1, 2021, the victim died from his injuries while still in hospital.
He has been identified as George Elie Houle of Winnipeg. Police have determined that his death was a homicide and are continuing to investigate.
