Man in custody after making threatening posts on social media

A 39-year-old male is in custody after he allegedly made threatening posts on social media.

Police say that on Monday, July 19, 2021 a number of people reported the posts to them. An investigation revealed that the posts expressed contempt for women identified as feminists and towards Winnipeg Police members. One post also threatened to kill a person who had responded to the posts in a negative way.

Investigators identified the person who made the posts and placed him under arrest.

Justin Peter Bodnarchuk was charged with three counts of Utter Threats to Kill or Cause Bodily Harm. He was detained in custody.
