A 41 year old man is in hospital in critical condition after the Hyundai Sonata he was driving crashed into a ditch around 12:30 Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and had to extricate the driver from the vehicle at Plessis Road and Grassie Boulevard.
According to investigators the vehicle was travelling east on Grassie when it failed to make the turn onto Pleasis, went through the intersection and crashed in the ditch.
Police are continuing to investigate but believe alcohol and the manner in which the man was driving contributed to the crash.
