Winnipeg Police are investigating after an adult male was hit by a taxi on Friday night, August 12, 2022.

Emergency crews were called to Cumberland Avenue at 11:10 pm just east of Balmoral Street and found the man laying on the roadway. Paramedics provided medical care before transporting the victim to hospital in unknown condition.

Police cordoned of a section of the roadway while they investigated. The driver of the taxi remained on the scene and spoke to officers.
