Man Found Dead on Wellington Avenue, Homicide Unit Investigating

The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of a 30-year-old man found in the city’s West End.

Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances on the 700 block of Wellington Avenue on March 28, 2025, at approximately 9:54 a.m. Upon arrival, Central District General Patrol officers discovered the body of an adult male at the rear of the property.

The deceased has been identified as Bronson Emery Dale Kequahtooway, 30, a Winnipeg resident originally from Zagime Anishinabek First Nation in Saskatchewan.

Following the discovery, the Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Family notifications have been completed.

Police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. Investigators are seeking any details that could assist in determining the circumstances surrounding Kequahtooway’s death.
